Title of tour: Around Issyk Kul
Sites to visit: Bishkek, Chunkurchak, Burana, Chong Kemin, Issyk Kul, Ala Archa
Day 1: Bishkek - Chunkurchak - Bishkek
After arrival to the city Bishkek, your guide will take you to walking city tour. It will start from Pobeda Square( Victory Square), continue to Oak Park, Main Square Ala-Too, Old Square and National Philharmonic. After having lunch at local restaurant, drive to beautiful gorge Chunkurchak. It is situated in the Kyrgyz Ala Too range, about 45 km from Bishkek. Due to the rare kind of tulips, the gorge's territory was protected under the National Biological Reserve. In springtime, you will see the patchwork of colorful flowers on the alpine meadow. The name of the gorge is translated as "hollow". There is a good ski resort for winter sport lovers. Furthermore, everyone can travel to the gorge all year round and stay in recreational mini resorts. Up from Chunkurchak, there is another small gorge Takhr, where the 200m stone facing Alamedin River. After leisure time in the nature, drive back to Bishkek and rest in a hotel.
Day 2: Bishkek - Burana - Chon Kemin
After breakfast, your driver and guide will pick up you from the hotel. Today tour continues to Chong Kemin gorge. On the way, take a break at the Burana archeological and architectural complex. It is the remains of medieval city Balasagun( 10-12th century). Nowadays there is Burana tower, foundations of mausoleums and small museum of artefacts. After learning the history of this land, transfer to Chong Kemin valley. In Chong Kemin, have a 3-hours horse riding. It will go through mountain path and forest. On the way, have a break with panorama view of valley. In the evening have dinner with nice family and sleep at homestay.
Day 3: Chon Kemin - Issyk Kul lake northern shore
Issyk Kul lake is the biggest lake in Kyrgyzstan. As the same time it is the second largest alpine lake in the world. The size is 180 in length and 60km in width. It is located at the altitude of 1608 meters and surrounded by snow-caped mountains of Tien Shan. For about 1500 year it was considered as holy and nobody swim and fish. Due to the mesmerizing beauty, it is known as "the pearl of Tien Shan". Every year in summer, travelers from different part of country and abroad come to have holidays here. Have a rest at hotel.
Day 4: Issyk Kul lake - Bishkek - Ala Archa - Bishkek
After breakfast, drive back to the city Bishkek. Before departure, visit one of the important historical sites of petroglyphs in Cholpon Ata. It is located on the foothills of mountain and has more than 2000 rock paintings. Most of them were depicted by shamans approximately 2000 years ago. Here there is amazing panorama of the Issyk Kul lake, Shining like a pearl of the world. Arrive to Bishkek, afternoon is dedicated to explore Ala Archa National Park. Only 40 minutes drive from capital will bring you to heavenly beautiful place. The park full of spruce with glacier top mountains on the background. Return to the city and stay in a hotel.
Day 5: Bishkek - Airport
After breakfast, transfer to airport according to flight schedule.
