Kyrgyzstan divided into two parts i.e. northern part and southern part. There are the Chui region (Bishkek city is situated here), and the Talas region, Issyk - Kul region ( where the Issyk - Kul Lake situated and its name will be translated as "Pearl of the Tien-Shan"), and Naryn region on the north part of Kyrgyzstan. Osh region, Jalalabad and Batken regions are located on the south part of Kyrgyzstan.
We translate name "Tien-Shan Mountains" from Chinese language as "Celestial Mountains". "Celestial Mountains" named because of two highest peaks are situated there: they are The Peak Pobedy (Peak Victory named after World War II) and its altitude is 7439 m and the second highest peak is the Khan-Tengri Peak with its altitude 7010 m above sea level. Usually people investigate this area, beginning with the town of Karakol which is situated on eastern end of Issyk-Kul Lake. Alpinists investigate Enylchek glacier and the mysterious Merzbacher's Lake (which was named in honor to the person who opened it), this lake can be appeared and disappeared. In July alpinists may see icebergs on this lake. In autumn this lake is disappeared.
Tien Shan Mountains are among the highest mountains in the world. A lot of mountainous landscapes are here. A characteristic feature of the local landscape is the alternation of high mountains and deep intermountain basins, forming a labyrinth. Vegetation in the piedmont plains of mostly desert and semi-desert in the mountains - mountain steppes and forests, alpine meadows and meadow-steppe. You may find mountain lakes: lake Issyk-Kul, lake Son-Kul at altitude of about 3000m, and lake Sary-Chelek at about 1900 m above sea level
The Marco-Polo sheep and the snow leopard live in the area of the mountain range, you can find a lot of birds for example eagles, falcons and vultures, on the altitude of 3000 meters you may see yaks (shaggy cows).
