Trekking

(start point - 800 m in Bishkek is the altitudes which we have today)

Day 2: TrekkingToday you have trekking tour. First of all have breakfast at the hotel. Then you will be transferred to the National park. This park is situated in the valley of Chon-Kemin.  The distance between Bishkek city and Chon - Kemin valley is 160 km. You will start the trek tour to the gorge which named as Tory - Aigyr. We will meet our team with horses which will help us with the bags. Today we have 4 - 5 hours trek to the gorge Tory-Aigyr. On your way you will see a lot of amazing meadows which are full of medical herbs and different kinds of grasses. You spend the overnight in the tents.

Day 3: TrekkingThis day belongs to the trekking. Today you walk to the pass named as Tory-Aigyr which is located on the altitude 3150 m above sea level. Today you have trek to the amazing lake. The name of this lake is Kol-Kogur or Kol-Tor Lake. The walking takes approximately 5-6 hours. Tis Lake will surprise you by its beauty. The Kol - Tor Lake looks like a sapphire set amongst a vast array of silver. The mountains covered with the snow. You spend the overnight in tents on the height of 2550 m above sea level.

Day 4: TrekkingThis day is belonging to trekking day. You start your trek tour after the breakfast. You will trek over the pass which is named as Kol - Kogur. The pass is located on the altitude of 3100 m above sea level. The trekking takes about 4-5 hours. You will have a wonderful walk through astonished meadows. There are lots of cattle here in summer. Kyrgyz people are nomadic people and they spend the summer time in mountains with their livestock. The lunch will be picnic. You have trek down for the altitude of 700 m. above sea level till the water. You spend the overnight in tents on the height of 2400 m above sea level.

Day 5: TrekkingYou have a delicious breakfast. Then you start your trekking tour. Trek will be down to the mouth of the Kol - Tor valley. You are walking about 3 - 4 hours. You have picnic in the time of lunch. Our car will meet you. You will be transferred to the Cholpon-Ata city which is located on the Northern Shore of Issyk-Kul Lake (40 km). The Issyk - Kul Lake is the most beautiful lake in Kyrgyzstan. It is located on the altitude of 1608 m above sea level. The length of the lake is 180 km and the width is 60 km. The maximum depth is 700 meters. This is the second alpine lake and this is a salt lake. In the afternoon you have free time and you may go swimming on the lake. Optionally if you would like we can organize motor boating excursion for one hour by the Issyk-Kul Lake. You will spend the night in the hotel which on the shore of the lake. The hotel is called "Raduga" or maybe you will be in other one.

Day 6: KarakolAfter the breakfast you will be transferred to Karakol city. The distance between Cholpon - Ata city and Karakol city is 140 km. This city is located on the Northern part of Issy-Kul Lake. On the way to Karakol city you will visit the Open Air Museum of Petroglyphs. This museum takes the ared of 42 hectares. The word Petroglyph is translated from Greek language as Petro it means a stone and Glyph means to draw. These stones with different kinds of drawings were dating from the II millennium BC up of the Middle Ages up to the VI century AD). Then you will farm in Tepke village. Lunch will be on the farm. You will see a Kyrgyz type of horses which are breeding on this farm. It will be presentation about Kyrgyz horses. As option for the additional payment we can organize Kyrgyz traditional horse game which called "Ulak Tartysh". This game is like American football on horses.

When you will be in Karakol city you have city tour there. This is old and beautiful city. Most of houses made in the Russian style because this city was discovered by Russians. You have a chance to visit the memorial complex of famous Russian traveller, geographer Prjevalskiy, Russian Orthodox Church which was built more than hundred years ago, Dungan mosque made in Chinese style. You will spend the night in a hotel.

Day 7: Karakol - Jeti OguzAfter delicious breakfast you will be transferred to the Jety Oguz gorge. The distance between Karakol city and Jeti Oguz gorge is 40 km. You will be transferred to the valley of flowers which is in Jeti Oguz gorge. This valley was called because of many flowers in summer period of time especially in June. On the way to the valley you will see the Rock which is called as Broken Heart ant the seven red rocks which are called Seven Bulls. Local people will tell you a lot of mysterious legends.  Today you sleep in the yurt camp. The lunch and dinner will be in the yurt camp. The yurt is traditional national house which construction made of wood and covered with carpets made of felt. There are 5 yurts with 4 sleeping places in each yurt. There is a heating stove, wooden floor in the every yurt. The people from yurt camp make sleeping places for you on the floor according to the Kyrgyz traditional places. The people from the yurt camp prepare for every person two mats, two blankets and clean bed shits. There is a dinning yurt in the camp where you have lunch and dinner.

After the lunch the walking excursion will be organized to the waterfall which is called Jety - Oguz. The height of the waterfall is 24 meters. The small trek takes about 3-4 km, and the time of our walking to the waterfall is about 1 hour to waterfall and one hour back to the camp. Then you may have free time. Overnight stay is in the yurt camp.

Day 8: Jeti Oguz - KochkorToday you will be transferred to Kochkor village. The distance between Jeti Oguz gorge and Kochkor village is 280 km. We are driving by the southern shore of the Issyk - Kul Lake. Lunch will be the picnic on the shore of Issyk - Kul Lake. Today we have a chance to visit in Kochkor village group of women who is still making traditional nomad's carpets from the felt. The names of these carpets are "Shiyrdak'" and "Ala Kiiz". The great chance will be to see how they make carpets and take the participation in it. Optionally if you would like to see an Eagle hunting show in Bokonbaevo on the way to Kochkor village. This is a good opportunity to see how Kyrgyz people are going the hunting with eagles. Then you may to take pictures with the eagle. You will stay for the night in the family guesthouses of local people in Kochkor. Four family guesthouses are located on one street it takes 2-3 minutes of walking from one house to another. There are 2-3 rooms for sleeping, one toilet and one shower in every house. Please divide the toilet between guests one by one. The traditional Kyrgyz dinner will be organized in the one house for the whole group. Today you have chance to taste traditional dish which is called "Besh Barmak". This dish consists of noodles and pieces of meat. In the time of meal you may ask local people about their life.

Day 9: Kochkor - Son Kul Today after the breakfast you will be transferred to Song-Kul Lake. This lake is located on the height of 3016 meters above sea level. This is an amazing place. The lake is surrounded by mountains. And shepherds during summer put a lot of yurts around this lake. They are engaged in cattle breeding in summer.  There are a lot of places for the pastures. Today you stay in the Yurt camp. The lunch and dinner will be in the yurt camp. So now you have a great chance fell yourself like a nomad, to live in the yurt without electricity, without Wi - Fi! You will see a beautiful nature and you forget about everything.

Day 10: Son KulToday after the breakfast you have a free day for the rest on Son - Kul Lake. Usually there a lot of local people who has livestock in summer. Today you may go for walk, or sit down in the camp and read book or go to the neighbor camp and talk with local people. They suggest you cup of Kumyz and piece of bread which are symbolized Kyrgyz hospitality. "Kumyz" is a traditional alcoholic drink made of mare's milk. You may try also "Kurut". This is dried sheep's cheese.

If you would like you may ask local people and they prepare for you horses for horseback riding.

We do not have special routes for walking on Song-Kul. You can go for walk which is subs to you. It may be small hike for one hour or a long hiking for 6 hours. If you would like to go on hiking for the whole day, please ask the guide. The guide asks local people in the yurt and they prepare a lunch box for you.

Accommodation and dinner will be in the yurt camp.

Day 11: Son Kul - BishkekAfter the breakfast you will be transferred to Bishkek city. The distance between Son - Kul Lake and Bishkek city is 380 km. Today you will go through the pass which called as Kalmak Ashuu. The elevation of the Kalmak Ashuu pass is 3065 m. above sea level. Lunch will be on the road. You visit Burana tower on the way to Bishkek city. This tower was built in the XI centure when the Karaknid Knate lived on the territory of Kyrgyzstan. The height was 45 meters. But it was an earthquake in XV century and the tower was destroyed. It was reconstructed in 1970. Now the height of the tower is 25 meters. Dinner will be in the local restaurant. Optionally if you would like we can organize Kyrgyz folklore program during the farewell dinner. The night will be spent in the "Asia Mountains" hotel or other hotel.

Day 12: Bishkek - Airport Today you will be transferred to the Airport.

The level of difficulty: This tour is appropriate for all people. Please take into consideration that sometimes there will be 4-6 hours transferring by the mountain roads.

Terms: If the person has some special sicknesses please it is necessary to bring your own first aid kit with medicaments.

You should to take warm clothes, trekking boots, rain coat, good sleeping bag and etc. We do not have a limit on the weight of personal things.
