Day 1: Ashgabat
First, arrive to Ashgabat, and then start you guided-tour in Turkmenistan. In the beginning of the city tour, drive to Goktepe village to see Mosque of Turkmenbashy Ruhy. The capacity of the mosque is 10 000 people. It is also considered as the largest mosque in Central Asia. Then interesting excursion to Goktepe horse farm, where there are famous Akhal-Teke Horses. After excursion, drive back to Ashgabat. After dinner, enjoy evening peaceful city and visit Independent Park and the Palace of Happiness, where a panoramic view of Ashgabat. Night in a hotel.
Day 2: Ashgabat - Kow Ata - Nokhur
In the morning, depart to Nokhur village. On the way, have a break at Kow-Ata and popular Bakharden cave. The name of the lake means "father of the caves". Kow-Ata Lake is more attractive for the curative water rather than natural beauty. Afternoon, go on to village of Nokhur, where one tribe of Turkmen people live among the mountains of Kopet Dag. They managed to protect ancient traditions, architecture, craft and art. The village is located in the Kopet Dag range. Spend night in a homestay.
Day 3: Nokhur - Ashgabat - Kerki
Today, you return to Ashgabat. After arrival visit memorial complex, where there is three monuments dedicated to different events of the history of Turkmenistan. For instance, for the honor of casualties in 1948 earthquake, for soldiers died in WWII and the third for killed in Turkmen battle. The most unusual monuments is the Earthquake Memorial, representing a bombastic bronze rendering of a bull and child. Afternoon, explore Russian Market, which was built by Russian architect between 1972-1982. It is also was one of the city buildings under the project "Ashgabat Reconstruction Program of 1970-1980". The style of the building is Soviet Modernism. In addition, there is national decoration in Turkmen style, by the sculptor Klych Yarmamedov. One of his works is a stunning abstract monument in the building's corner. After excursion, transfer to railway station and take night train to Kerki town.
Day 4: Kerki - Koitendag
After morning train, enjoy the breakfast in Kerki. Then continue to Koitendag Mountain. Another name is Kugitangtau Mountain. It is the most beautiful and picturesque mountain in Turkmenistan. It is translated as the "mountains of canyons". The terrain of the mountain fits its name. Koitendag represents narrow canyon cliffs taking extraordinary forms. In the territory of the range, there are deep lakes and long caves. In addition, it was found Dinosaur Plateau bearing traces of these prehistoric reptiles. The highest point of Turkmenistan is located in Koitendag, Mount Ayrybaba, the height is 3 139 meters. The deepest lake of the country is also in this mountain called Kattakol lake. Stay in a camp ad relax in fresh air.
Day 5: Koitendag - Turkmenabad - Ashgabat
Today after breakfast, drive to Turkmenabad city. Have traditional lunch in the city. Afternoon, take a train to Ashgabat. Spend night in a train.
Day 6: Ashgabat - Turkmenbashy - Yangykala - Balkanabat - Ashgabat
Arrive to Ashgabat in the morning. Enjoy the breakfast in the city. Transfer to airport to have flight to Turkmenbashy. After arrival, continue to famous Yangykala Canyon. Its extraordinary landscape will surprise you. Then drive to Balkanabat city, where you will take flight back to Ashgabat. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 7: Flight
Today is the last day of the tour, transfer to airport.
